Do I need to deal with Pakistani customs?

For any parcel heading outside of the UK, you’ll need to fill out a customs form. This tells the Customs Agents in the destination country about the contents of your package so they can process it correctly.

As with most international postage, when you send a parcel to Pakistan from the UK, there are additional customs duties and import taxes that need to be paid. When you book your delivery with us, we will provide you with all the correct forms you need to help your parcel through both UK and Pakistan customs.

HM Revenue & Customs has more information on tax and customs considerations for Pakistan.

What items can't I send to Pakistan?

As well as the usual prohibited and restricted items you would expect from any international parcel delivery, there are some additional restrictions on what you can and can’t send to Pakistan.

We advise you to re-check the regulations every time you send a parcel internationally, as they can change regularly. Pakistan is a Muslim country with strict laws around several items, which we in the UK might not think of as being restricted or prohibited. All items offensive to the Muslim culture or sensitive to the Middle East security situation are prohibited. Any items made or produced in India or Israel are prohibited.

It’s vital to ensure that your parcel’s contents will be accepted into the country, if not, this will result in additional charges to return the parcel to you, the possible destruction of your parcel. You can find more information on Pakistani Customs on the Pakistan Government website.

Some examples of items you can’t send in a parcel to Pakistan include:

RESTRICTED AND PROHIBITED GOODS

Food

Illegal and dangerous

Other

Fruit, vegetables and nuts

Flammable materials

Animal fur

Meat, pork and chicken

Hazardous chemicals

Antiques
Herbs Weapons Tobacco products
Alcohol Narcotics Jewellery

*Please be aware that we also have our own prohibited items list, in addition to country-specific restrictions.

How to package parcels to Pakistan

We'd advise you to be extra vigilant with packaging your Pakistan postage, as your parcel will be taking quite a long journey, through several depots with automated sorting machines. Be sure to make an extra effort to package your items well – and use some cushioning material inside your parcel. Look at our packaging advice here.

We’ll transport parcels up to 25kg in weight, 120 x 60 x 60cm or 100 x 80 x 80cm max in size – though we strongly recommend you use a strong outer box when sending your package and don’t overfill it, regardless of the dimensions of your parcel. If you’d like further advice on packaging, take a look at our handy international packaging guide for tips to get everything there soundly.
