Sending a small parcel with DHL eCommerce UK starts from just £3.78. However, to get an accurate price, you’ll need to get a quote.

It’s super easy to get a quote – all you need is your parcel’s weight (in kg), dimensions (in cm), your recipient’s address and your address (if you opt for collection). And we’ll give you an instant price for your delivery!

WHAT ARE THE DIMENSIONS FOR A SMALL PARCEL?

Our small parcel size covers any package measuring up to 35cm (l) x 35cm (w) x 35cm (h) with a weight of up to 5kg.

If your parcel is heavier or longer, you’ll need to select one of our other delivery services. We’ve included prices and dimensions below so you can compare and select the right service:

All prices quoted include VAT and are based on a mainland UK Depot drop-off and mainland UK Depot collection. Delivery to Northern Ireland, The Highlands, Islands and parts of Scotland operate on a 1-3 day delivery service.

Make sure you weigh and measure your parcel accurately before booking. Doing so will ensure you select the right option and pay the correct amount.

If you select the small parcel size and it exceeds the maximum weight or dimensions stated at booking, your parcel may be returned to you, incur extra charges, or be refused on collection.

You might be surprised how much you can fit into a small parcel. When you consider that the average shoebox measures 30 (l) x 25 (w) x 10cm (h), there’s a lot you can pack into a 35 x 35 x 35cm box.

HOW IS OUR SMALL PACKAGE PRICING CALCULATED?

We use dimensions (in cm) and weight (in kg) to calculate our UK delivery pricing. Small parcels should be no bigger than 35 x 35 x 35cm and no heavier than 5kg.

HOW DOES THE SERVICE WORK?

Get your quote and book your delivery – you can book additional services at the time of booking your order, such as pre-9am delivery slots.
Drop it off at your nearest depot or ServicePoint or arrange collection from your home or business address.
Your parcel will be sorted and transported during the night to the depot closest to your delivery destination.
Once here, it’ll go out for delivery with one of our drivers the next day.

MAKE YOUR SMALL PARCEL DELIVERY SAFE

You can either send your parcel to a ‘safe place’ or have a ‘signed for’ delivery.

If your item is valuable, we'd always recommend you use the ‘signed for’ delivery option.

If you choose to have your parcel delivered to a designated ‘safe place’, then we can't offer any extended contents cover and your parcel will only be covered up to the value of £50.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What happens if my parcel is larger than the small parcel dimensions? (+)

If your parcel exceeds the 5kg weight limit or is bigger than 35 x 35 x 35cm, you’ll need to use one of our other services – medium, large or extra-large.

Selecting the wrong service will incur an extra charge when you drop your parcel off or could be refused on collection if you opt for our door to door option.

What is the process for tracking my small package? (+)

You can track your parcel through its journey on our tracking page. You’ll just need your unique parcel reference number – which you’ll receive when you book your delivery.

What happens if my parcel gets damaged or lost? (+)

Every parcel you send includes £50 of free contents cover, with the option to purchase more for items up to the value of £5,000.

If your parcel has been damaged you, as the sender, must notify us within 14 days of delivery, and the item must not be on our prohibited items list . You can do this over on the My Parcel Has Arrived Damaged page on our Service Centre.

You’ll need to send us photographic evidence of damage to the parcel and the items / packaging within the parcel.

If your parcel has been lost (you’ve not received it within the estimated delivery date), as the sender, you should open an enquiry with us to raise this via the My Parcel Hasn’t Been Delivered page on our Service Centre.
