With more than 50+ DHL Parcel UK depots spread across the UK, your nearest one might be closer than you think – whether you’re in Aberdeen, Leeds, Oxford, Swansea, Truro or York we’re likely to have a depot that’s convenient for you.
What you need for depot drop off or depot collection
Firstly check the opening hours of your local depot below. For dropping off parcels, simply hand your parcel over to the depot receptionist, ensuring that the parcel fits within the booked dimensions and that the label is clearly visible.
When collecting parcels, please be aware of the below:
1. You will need to take your 14 digit consignment number (provided in your confirmation email) to your collection depot.
2. You will be asked to sign for the parcel and will need photographic proof of identity to collect it, e.g. Passport or Driving License.
3. You must collect the parcel within 5 working days of the date received by the depot, otherwise the parcel will be returned to the sender.
4. Sometimes parcels are unavoidably delayed, before leaving to collect your parcel please check it has arrived at your depot, by entering the 14 digit consignment number on the Manage My Delivery page of the DHL Parcel UK website. The parcel status should read 'At delivery Location'.
Always remove any old labels/markings from the box
Consider using up and down arrows on the box if you want your parcel to stay upright. Please be aware your parcel will be handled at several points throughout its journey – package your parcel correctly to avoid damages during transit.
Use a clear plastic pocket to affix your label and any extra documentation to the outside of your box.
Consider polystyrene protection for heavier or fragile items (recommended)
Seal the outside of the parcel with strong parcel tape.
Use damaged boxes.
Use black plastic wrapping on the outside of your parcel - it cannot be processed through our automatic sorting machines. Your parcel will either be refused on collection/drop off or be returned back to you – incurring a return fee.
