To all cities including Nouadhibo, Rosso and Adel Bagrou.

Mauritania in Western Africa has few trade links with the UK but you might still want to send goods or personal belongings to friends and family there; whether to the capital Nouakchott on the Atlantic coast or to other major cities including Nouadhibo, Rosso and Adel Bagrou.

Since oil was discovered in Mauritania just over a decade ago, links with other nations have slowly developed so you may wish to do business with some of the firms that operate within its borders.

You can send goods to the country in just 3-5 days* and at a cost of only £43.32* .

About Mauritania

Around 90% of Mauritania is covered by the Sahara Desert and the majority of these areas are not inhabited. The country shares its borders with Senegal, Mali, Algeria, Morocco and Western Sahara, along with a stretch of North Atlantic coastline.

Despite being more than one million square kilometres in size, the total population of the country is just over four million people. This means large areas of resources are untapped, while the population is concentrated mainly in the south of the country. Most of Mauritania is flat arid plains that are separated by occasional ridges and cliffs. Many of these peaks are often rich in mineral deposits.

The climate of Mauritania is most dry and sees irregular patterns of rainfall across the year. Temperatures are hot although a strip of land is marginally cooler due to prevailing winds. A short rainy season between July and September sees the majority of rainfall in the country.
