SOLD A CAR PART? SEND WITH US

In recent years, the market for buying new and used car parts online has grown. With the cost of car parts on the rise and parts for classic cars not readily available through local garages, buyers are increasingly turning to the internet to source the part they need.

Whether you are selling a car part you mistakenly purchased or you regularly strip down cars and sell the parts, you’ll need a cheap and reliable delivery company to get customer orders out in no time. That’s where we come in – we offer door to door next day delivery within mainland UK from £8.99( Inc. VAT).

SPEEDY CAR PARTS DELIVERY

Consumers who are buying car parts online often aren’t prepared to wait for delivery, especially if their vehicle is out of action until they get the part they need. In light of this, transit times can play a big part in the decision making process and where there’s more than one option available, consumers are more likely to pick the retailer who can deliver quickest.

We can help you to get your orders out fast. If you’re sending a car part to a mainland UK address, we’ll deliver on the next working day and if that’s not quick enough, we offer morning and Saturday delivery slots. If you are sending a car part to an international address, your parcel could reach your recipient in as little as 2-3 days*.

OUR TOP TIPS FOR PACKAGING CAR PARTS

We understand your parcel is important to you and your recipient. That’s why ensuring the car part arrives safely and in the same condition it was sent is our top priority. You can help us to do this by packaging the car part securely to avoid any damage during transit.

Car parts are often large, heavy and awkwardly shaped, which can make packaging your parcel difficult. However, with our top tips you can ensure your parcel is protected and the car part is delivered safely to your recipient.

Tip 1: Don’t send liquids

Liquids are on our list of prohibited items which means it cannot be sent through our network. This obviously rules out sending items like screenwash and oil, but you also need to be careful with car parts where liquids may still be present inside the part.

If you are sending a used radiator, fluid reservoir, engine or gearbox, make sure it’s fully drained before sending. Once you have drained the part, we recommend wrapping in a towel to ensure no residual liquid leaks out.

Tip 2: Use a strong box for heavy items

If you are sending a heavy car part, for example a wheel or a brake disc, you’ll need to use strong packaging materials to ensure the parcel can carry the weight.

Ideally, we recommend sending the part inside the original packaging and placing inside a slightly bigger box (leave a 6cm gap between the item and the box’s outer walls). If your item weighs more than 15kg, choose a sturdy double walled box and avoid re-using old boxes.

For lighter parcels, use a pressure sensitive tape (45-50mm) along the seams of the box. For heavier parcels, a cross weave tape works best.

Tip 3: Protect your item with bubble wrap

To stop the car part moving around in transit or damaging the box, wrap in plenty of bubble wrap and surround with internal packaging – you can use polystyrene chips or even newspaper for this.
