You might have noticed that some things look a bit different around here… we’ve changed our name! DHL Parcel UK has officially become DHL eCommerce UK.
So what does this mean for you? You'll still get the same great service, whether you're sending a parcel in the UK or overseas and you can still to choose to have your parcel collected or to drop it off at a ServicePoint or depot.
WHY HAVE WE CHANGED OUR NAME?
DHL eCommerce is the global division name, so changing our name brings us closer to the DHL family.
It also reflects more about who we are: a facilitator of ecommerce. With online sales only on the increase, we’re perfectly positioned to help sellers get their goods to their buyers.
Peter Fuller, CEO DHL eCommerce UK, says, “The renaming to DHL eCommerce ensures consistent brand visibility and identity across all countries in which we operate and reflect our division’s business activities and strategy even better.”
INVESTING IN THE FUTURE
The change of name from DHL Parcel UK to DHL eCommerce UK comes at the same time as we announced our investment and expansion plans. We’ve recently opened three new depots in Coventry, Kidderminster and Preston, totalling £18.4m worth of investment across these key regions.
Our latest depot to open is in Camberley, and we’re super-excited because it’s the first carbon-neutral depot in our network. It features a high-tech HVAC heating and cooling system, solar panels and LED lighting – and, of course, charging points for electric vehicles. We’re delighted that it’s being nominated for the DHL Global CRE awards in 2024 for Construction and Sustainability too!
