Send a Cheap Parcel to Malaysia
We work hard to keep our prices keen for courier services to Malaysia. You can save additional money on the below prices by dropping your parcel at one of our 52 nationwide depots.
How long will it take to deliver
We provide cheap and convenient door to door delivery from the UK to Malaysia. Simply book your delivery online and one of our drivers will come and collect your parcel from your home or work on a day of your choosing. Your parcel is taken to its local depot, sorted and shipped overnight to our international distribution hub, then on to Malaysia.
Whether you choose to have your parcels collected from your home or work address in the UK, you can usually expect delivery to your Malaysiandestination within 3-4 days* from collection. While we make every effort to get your items delivered within these guidelines, sometimes it can take longer for your parcel to arrive - depending on where your parcel is heading – in particular remote and rural locations.
Do I need to deal with Malaysian customs?
For any parcel heading outside of the UK, you’ll need to fill out a customs form. This tells the Customs Agents in the destination country about the contents of your package so they can process it correctly.
As with most international posting, when you send a parcel to Malaysia from the UK, there are also occasionally additional customs duties and import taxes that need to be paid. When you book your delivery with us, we'll provide you with all the correct forms you need to help your parcel through customs.
Visit the POS Malaysia website for more information.
HM Revenue & Customs has more information on tax and customs considerations for Malaysia.
What items can't I send to Malaysia?
As well as the usual prohibited and restricted items you would expect from any international parcel delivery, there are some additional restrictions on what you can and can’t send to Malaysia.
We advise to re-check the regulations every time you send a parcel internationally, as they can change fairly regularly. Malaysia is a multi-religious country with Islam the official religion. That means strict laws around a number of items, which we in the UK might not think of as being restricted or prohibited.
Any item offensive to Muslim culture, particularly publications, films and video tapes are prohibited. It’s important to ensure your parcel’s contents will be accepted into the country; if not, it could result in additional charges to return the parcel to you, or possibly the destruction of your parcel. You can find more information on the Royal Malaysian Customs Department here but some examples of items you can’t send to Malaysia include:
RESTRICTED AND PROHIBITED GOODS
Food |
Illegal and dangerous |
Other |
Fruit, vegetables and nuts
|
Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation |
Coffee, tea and spices |
Meat and poultry |
Explosives; pyrotechnic products, matches, pyrophoric alloys, certain combustible perparations |
Tobacco and manufactured tobacco substitutes |
Dairy products and eggs | Daggers and flick knives | Cloth bearing the imprint or duplicate of any verses of the Quran |
*Please be aware that we also have our own prohibited items list, in addition to country-specific restrictions.
How to package parcels to Malaysia
We always advise to be vigilant with packaging, as your parcel will be taking quite a long journey, through several depots with automated sorting machines. Take extra effort to package your items well – and use some cushioning material inside your parcel. Take a look at our packaging advice here.
We’ll transport parcels up to 25kg in weight, 80x80x80cm max in size – though we strongly recommend you use a robust and sturdy outer box when sending your package and don’t overfill it, regardless of the dimensions of your parcel. If you’d like some further advice on packaging, take a look at our handy international packaging guide for tips to get everything there soundly.
