How long will it take to deliver?

DHL Parcel UK provides cheap and convenient door to door delivery from the UK to Cyprus.

Whether you choose to have your parcels collected from your home or work address in the UK, you can usually expect delivery of your parcels in around 3-4 days from collection via our worldwide air delivery service.

Of course, we make every effort to deliver your items within these timescales but sometimes it can take longer for your parcel to arrive to more remote and rural locations.

Do I need to deal with Cypriot customs?

Although Cyprus is part of the EU, there are restrictions in place for sending items into the country and it’s up to you to ensure your parcel’s contents are allowed into Cyprus. Failure to do this may result in extra charges, the parcel being returned to you or even being destroyed. However if you make sure you don’t send anything on the restricted and prohibited list and take care to package your parcel well, whatever size it is, then you shouldn’t have any problems clearing customs.

If this sounds like hard work, don’t worry, we’ll help automatically generate any documents for you from the information you provide on the booking form.

We recommend our customers also take a look at the restrictions and prohibited items listed on the Republic of Cyprus Customs website

HM Revenue & Customs has more information on tax and customs considerations for Cyprus.

What items can't I send to Cyprus?

As with all deliveries outside the UK, please ensure that your parcel contents are allowed into the country. Cyprus, like most countries in Europe, EU or otherwise, has a few items that are restricted for import that we in the UK might think are perfectly ordinary.

You can visit the Cyprus Customs website and the Cyprus Post website for more information. Some examples of items you can’t post include:

Illegal and dangerous

Meat, fish and cheese

Drugs and narcotics

Counterfeit items

Honey and its derivatives

Explosives and fireworks

Precious metals

*Please be aware that we also have our own prohibited items list, in addition to country-specific restrictions.

How to package parcels to Cyprus

DHL Parcel UK transport items up to 25kg in weight, 80x80x80cm max in size. It is strongly recommended you be diligent when packaging your items bound for Cyprus; even though Cyprus is only a couple of thousand miles away, remember that your parcel will travel through a number of depots, many with automated sorting machines, so be sure to pack your items well and use cushioning material inside your parcel, such as newspaper or bubble wrap to help prevent the contents from moving around inside the box and causing damage. Use a sturdy outer box when sending your package and make sure you don’t overfill it.
