For any parcel heading outside of the UK, you’ll need to fill out a customs form. This tells the Customs Agents in the destination country about the contents of your package so they can process it correctly.

As with most international postings, when you send a parcel to Chile from the UK, there are sometimes additional customs duties and import taxes that need to be paid, depending on the contents.

Sending personal effects to Chile requires a further declaration and a copy of the recipient's passport will be required for collection. Personal Effects under the value of USD$1500, shouldn’t attract additional duty or taxes, however there will be an extra fee of approx. USD$50 + VAT + handling fee. ALL personal effects will be inspected by customs.
