How long will it take to deliver?

Not only do we offer some of the cheapest courier services from the UK to Malta, they’re fast as well – with many destinations in the Mediterranean, you can still expect delivery to take just 3-4 days. Note that whilst we always aim to deliver your items within these timescales, occasionally it can take longer for your parcel to arrive, especially to more isolated places.

It’s also worth considering what you can and can’t send in the post – all items will need clearance through Customs, so ensure you label everything clearly and correctly – this will help to avoid any unnecessary delays and costs. See [below for more information on Maltese customs].

Do I need to deal with Maltese customs?

When sending a parcel to Malta, you will need to provide a customs document.

If this sounds like a challenge, don’t worry - when you book your delivery with us, it's easy. As part of the booking process, we'll gather all of the information needed to generate a customs invoice which will print with your label.

When you send a parcel to Malta from the UK, there are occasionally customs duties and import taxes that need to be paid. These fees are payable at the receiving end and cannot be done when booking your parcel delivery.

HM Revenue & Customs has more information on tax and customs considerations for Malta.

It’s the responsibility of you, the sender, to ensure your parcels contents are allowed into Malta.

What items can't I send to Malta?

Before booking your courier service to Malta, please check that all the items are allowed into the country; ordinary, every day products to us in the UK can sometimes be restricted or prohibited to send to other countries. We advise to re-check the regulations every time you send a parcel, as the regulations can change from time to time.

Products such as animal skins and furs, firearms and hazardous materials are not only prohibited to send to Malta, they’re also on our prohibited list - take a look at the full list before you prepare to send your parcel. In the meantime, some examples of items you can’t post to Malta include:

How to package parcels to Malta

Depending where you send your parcel from in the UK, the journey your parcel will take to Malta is around 1500 miles – not all that far - however we always advise putting in some effort when preparing your parcels for transport. All our packages will likely pass through a number of depots with both manual handling and automated sorting machines, as well as the road and air transit time, so the occasional knock or bump could occur.

We’ll carry parcels up to 25kg in weight and 80x80x80cm max, but no matter the size or weight, you ought to use a sturdy outer box to send your items in. Remember not to over fill the box and to use lightweight material inside your parcel to help cushion and protect the contents from moving around inside and becoming damaged en route.

See our handy International packaging guide for more packaging hints and tips on sending parcels to Malta.
